There are some people out there today who preach a prosperity gospel. They will tell you, "If you pray hard enough, God will propser you." What they don't say is "If you suffer, it's your own fault." It's true, God promises blessings--but that's not all he promises for the life of the believer. He also promises great difficulties. In fact, the life of faith is marked with difficulties. Over the next four weeks, Jesus personally gives his believers Warnings. These warnings are given so that the believer will be prepared to meet these challengese, not by relying on their own power for success, but with the confidence of the cross!

- August 22nd--Warning: The Word doesn't bring peace, but division!
- August 29th--Warning: The door to heaven is narrow!
- September 5th--Warning: The first wil be last...humble yourselves!
- September 12th--Warning:Count the cost of discipleship!
